Downstream Interface packaging application

What this route establishes

Define the handoff between machines

A downstream interface connects the pack leaving the primary machine with the next operation. Review discharge height and direction, pack orientation and grouping, and the start, stop and fault signals at that boundary. The scope and responsibility for each connection need to be agreed for the project.

Project inputs

Confirm these conditions before parameters become commitments

These are inputs for engineering review, not standard specifications asserted before the project is known.

  1. 01Discharge geometry

Exit height, direction, pack pitch and the usable transfer window from the primary machine.

    Project confirmation
  2. 02Pack presentation

Orientation, spacing, grouping and the conditions required by the next operation.

    Project confirmation
  3. 03Inspection and reject

What is inspected, where a reject goes and how a reject is confirmed without ambiguity.

    Project confirmation
  4. 04Buffer and recovery

Accumulation, stop-and-restart behavior and fault recovery between connected machines.

    Project confirmation
  5. 05Signal contract

Ready, run, fault, stop, speed reference and ownership of the interface acceptance test.

Pack discharge and transfer detailThe photograph shows pack-handling channels. Use the visible layout to discuss discharge direction, pack presentation and the receiving interface; it does not establish the complete downstream scope.
